8 Hours of mogus on r/place Timelapse
Переглядів 3242 роки тому
This script looks for four types of mogus "tall" facing right, "tall facing left", "short facing right", and "short facing left" In order to find these, it checks each pixel group against a filter, an example filter is: (5,5,0,0,0), (5,0,2,2,2), (0,2,2,1,1), (0,2,2,2,2), (0,3,2,3,2), (5,0,2,0,2) 0 is background, 1 is visor, 2 is body, 3 isn't checked (can be body or background) and 5 is not che...
Moguses on r/place over 4 hours - Timelapse With Statistics

Tracking how many among us crewmates there are, with stats, on r/place I wrote a simple script that butchered the existing place api code and is absolutely terrible, but here it is github.com/ctjet/reddit-place-script-2022 To find it, it basically checks each pixel to see if it matches a filter, with a little bit of leniency, against a number of criteria including - visor is all the same color ...
Will a Wooden Disc Fly as Good as Plastic? Disc Golf Test - Wood vs. Plastic
Переглядів 1,6 тис.3 роки тому
A few years back @jodyswoodworking5477 made a video about wooden disc golf discs. However, he only included one video of the throw, and even cut it off early. Here I test out two wooden replicas against their plastic counterparts, to see if they fly like you'd expect. The results were interesting, the overstable putter flew about how you'd expect, just with a little more turn due to the lack of...

    First, thanks, and great work - The debugger works great ! (Im using an st-link flashed as a j-link - which i recomend) Sadly I'm having a noob issue with building (am new to VSCode) - I get: Executing task: make $SRCS is [src/BlueNRG1_it.c src/main.c ] PRE if not exist libs mkdir libs /usr/bin/sh: -c: line 1: syntax error: unexpected end of file make: *** [pre-build] Error 1 BTW Have you tried the EMB1082? This is even more powerful/cheap, but also a nightmare..

    Very cool, Im more curiouse to know how a bootloader works what it does and why hasnt stm32 done this for convenience? On the otherhand im flashing fine on my stm32 clone(ch32) through its usb port without an additional bootloader although i have to use their tool for flashing. But after all that i found the stlink actually more convenient since i dont have to unplug and reset jumpers everytime like i have to with usb. Its a miracle i havent lost the jumpers the amount of time its popped out on its own while trying to take it out, its not a matter of if, but when...

      After you flash the bootloader you need to hook it back up to the TTL converter and select the COM port and then try uploading in arduino IDE. It then begins to flash something else and it will finally work.

    Nice work! Have you actually tested this board with 3.3v VCC? I'd recommend a 74HCT595 for 3.3v logic (the HC version works at 3.3v but then also only outputs 3.3v) and still power it from 5V so the MOSFETS are still driven by 5V. The MOSFETS you use are (I think?) not "logic level" ones and not rated for 3.3V VGS operation. They will probably still work, but with lower current and higher resistance. Probably not an issue with this application, but by choosing slightly different MOSFETS you can get 10A+ per channel out of them. I'm currently designing something similar and planning to use IRLR8726. One thing I'm not sure of yet, is if I can drive 8 MOSFETS at the same time with one HC595. I'd really like to also drive some 0805 LED's with the output pins, they can be pretty dim, just to see what's switched. But I'm unsure if I can sufficiently so that with ~10mA current without additional BJT's, which I'd like to avoid.

    • @CalebMarting
      @CalebMarting Рік тому

      I only ever ran it with 5 volts so it should have been fine. I ran all the outputs simultaneously just fine, mosfets are voltage-based so as long as you have a sufficient resistor to limit current surge I think you should be fine

    I have to add some clarifications. I run Arduino IDE 2.0.3 and at bottom there is the display "Generic STM32F4 series [not connected]". Also before pressing the upload button, no COM Port ist shown in Windows 10 (but with reset and boot, STM32 BOOTLOADER ist shown in Windows device manager, this means the board is recognized) . When upload process is successfully finished, then STM32 BOOTLOADER disappears and a COM Port appears. Arduino (or STM32 Cube Programmer) finds COM Port automatically, so no setting before is possible. Sometime it is necessary to figure out such behavior, to prompt newbees to go forward, when there is no real error in red ist shown.

    You realise the USB port works as a USB port, right? You realise that nobody outside of bedrooms uses serial for programming and debug. Most people use JTAG or similar and a proper professional IDE with code step, variable watch and disassembly etc. etc. As an example, enabling the USB port in your project and setting it up as a CDC VCom port gives you a serial IO over USB in your actual project. Not sure about the F103 but the F411 will certainly accept USB Audio over the USB port. So don't waste it on a USB programmer interface, that's weird. Go buy an STLink, it's like $1.99!

    Pls for love of god can you split your links in description to half bc Yt max for links (before changing the link into some crap) is 40 character. All links from the description which have ... at the end are non-copyable without redirection. Even copying the link with the right mouse button and "copy link address" copies the redirect and not the link that is needed.
